Are you hydrated?  If not, have a glass of water.

Have you eaten in the past three hours?  If not, get some food — something with protein, not just simple carbs.  Perhaps some nuts or hummus?

Have you showered in the past day?  If not, take a shower right now.

When we’re down and depressed, maintaining a ‘healthy’ diet can often seem overwhelming, yet another thing on the endless list of things that need to be done. Although no single food can ‘cure’ depression, eating regular meals of a varied and balanced diet can help to ease depressive symptoms and give you a much needed energy boost.

Here are some things that may help support a more positive mental state of mind.  What may seem simple, has proven to be an effective way of taking care of our minds.  Try picking one thing from the list to start with, so not to overwhelm yourself, and stick to it for 2 weeks before adding another.
