Specific Supervision-For Students Or Qualified Counsellors
All counsellors both training and qualified should have a minimum of an hour-and-a-half of supervision a month. This is to maintain the standards set within the BACP and many other governing bodies. Supervision is to safeguard both the counsellor and the client; it is held within a confidential environment similar to the counselling relationship. It is a supporting role to the counsellor, it ensures safe working practice and can flag up any training needs and personal support the counsellor may need. This service is offered to students and charities at £15 per 30 minutes and for qualified counsellors £17.50 per 30 minutes.
